Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet, and Intellectual Property

www.house.gov/judiciary/

As part of the House Judiciary Committee, the Subcommittee on Courts and Intellectual Property exercises primary jurisdiction over civil and criminal law enforcement issues, constitutional issues (including freedom of speech), privacy, and copyright and other intellectual property issues. (See: http://www.house.gov/judiciary/subm embers.htm) .

The House Judiciary Committee has recently been embroiled in a "turf war" with the House Commerce Committee over various Internet-related issues.

The House Judiciary Committee is generally more friendly to content producers on intellectual property issues.
