The Electronic Information Committee seeks to provide the PSP community with informed perspectives on the current issues of concern as we move progressively into the word of digital publishing. Through seminars, workshops, publications, and our PSP newsletter column, we offer informative and practical discussions of challenges that we all face in our day to day work, as well as more general topics such as strategies that will help us move forward effectively. We focus on business, technical, and editorial issues, and on the partnerships with customers, vendors, and end users, and the internal issues of organization and strategic planning that affect our future as online publishers. We welcome feedback and suggestions for subjects that that PSP community would like to see us explore in our committee's work.

Innovations in technology for producing and using educational content have changed the expectations of both students and teachers. In order to keep pace with this rapid change, publishers have had to rethink their strategies. This means not only being able to distribute books via electronic and mobile channels, but also discovering and evaluating the enhancements to the content that are now possible, and deciding upon its real utility. Which features will bring value to the content and which are bells and whistles?
